Network Monitoring & Management
RFL, through its partnership with Westronic, designs, manufactures and delivers intelligent network monitoring and management solutions for local and international telecommunications, utility, cable, outside plant, OEM and system integrators.
Westronic remote alarm monitoring and control solutions enable distributed notification via TL1, SNMP, web browser, pager or email. Other features include analogue, discrete and serial alarm collection, and legacy protocol translation. WS3500: The WS3500 is a powerful, flexible and expandable Intelligent Remote Terminal Unit (RTU ) and remote site alarm monitor. The WS3500 reports to host Network Management Systems via TL-1, and/or SNMP over a TCP/IP LAN or via modem dial-up and is remotely configurable.
WS1800: The WS1800 is Westronics newest product, designed to address the growing need for smaller and more flexible remote monitoring solutions. The WS1800 is a low-cost, 16-point Ethernet/Serial/Dial-up Modem alarm monitoring device, capable of TL1, SNMP, TBOS or TABS host reporting. It has an expandable platform for discrete and analog inputs, and compact dimensions which accommodate wallmount applications. Available in wallmount or rackmount enclosure, with 16 Inputs/2 Outputs or 32 Inputs/4 Outputs.
WS1000: The WS1000 was the first high-density telemetry unit that introduced a unique design integrating field wiring and system electronics into a plug-in frame style remote alarm block. This design allows service without disturbing the front accessible field wiring. For simple discrete alarm collection and remote controls, the WS1000 is the most cost effective unit available today, and is a proven solution, demonstrated by its worldwide deployment.
Metago™ Manager Standard: In addition to the features supported by Metago™ Manager LITE, Metago™ Manager Standard adds the ability to maintain multiple RTU configurations in the active database. These multiple RTUs can be preconfigured, and then simply downloaded to the device once installed. Metago Manager Standard also allows the user to import from, and export to, fixed format CSV (comma separated value) template files to further assist in the configuration and maintenance of the database.
Metago™ Monitor: Metago™ Monitor is a stand-alone PC application used to collect and display TL-1 alarms from multiple WS3500 RTUs, arranged chronologically by severity, and in real-time. This utility does not require any database configuration, beyond the IP address and TID of the monitored RTU. Metago™ Monitor also logs all TL-1 traffic to a local log file for historical review. It generates communications alarms to notify you of the IP connection status to the configured RTUs, and can issue controls to activate the WS3500 output relays.

Video communications involve taking a two dimensional moving scene and converting it to a one dimensional electric signal.
Protection elements are a must given the sensitive nature of the Power Utilities and Transportation areas as well as other key industries where surveillance is required through unmanned locations.
Data may be transmitted analogue through compression techniques, digitally E1 / T1, TCP/IP, over the SDH/SONET transport network on dedicated multiplexer interface cards.
